Both flow figures are manufacturer ratings with no stated temperature rise, so neither is winter delivery. Rheem prints 8.4 GPM for the CRTGH-SR84i and 10.1 GPM for the CRTGH-L199i, and tankless sizing depends on the incoming water temperature, the required rise and simultaneous fixture demand. In Metro Vancouver winter the deliverable flow at the roughly 40 °C rise to a 49 °C shower is well below either headline, so a demand assessment governs.
Efficiency runs to the SR84i: Rheem publishes 0.96 UEF and ENERGY STAR qualification for the IKONIC SR, against up to 0.90 UEF and ENERGY STAR for the ThermaForce. Both are high-draw-class figures on the product pages, and neither is converted here to a legacy EF.
Recirculation is the functional split. The SR84i carries a built-in recirculation pump and Wi-Fi, so no separately mounted pump is required; Rheem does not state domestic recirculation capability for the ThermaForce, whose published multi-unit feature is wireless RF cascading that stages several units together and is not the same as a hot-water recirculation loop. Recirculation shortens the wait at the tap and adds gas use.
Installation and ownership are otherwise similar. The L199i has a published 17 in × 29 in × 10 in cabinet and can flex vent in existing B-vent with a moveable combustion-air intake; the SR84i takes PVC runs up to 70 ft in 2 in or 150 ft in 3 in, flex vents through existing B-vent up to 50 ft, works on a 1/2 in gas line subject to local code, and is approved for manufactured-home installations. Both are listed in natural gas and propane; the SR84i is field gas convertible from natural gas to LP with the kit included, while the L199i is ordered for the fuel supplied. Both carry Rheem's residential 15-year heat exchanger warranty with registration, 5-year parts and 1-year labour, and both need 120 V power and a condensate drain. Whether CANRO supplies either model and performs a gas tank-to-tankless conversion is confirmed at consultation.

It publishes a higher flow figure (10.1 GPM against 8.4 GPM) but a lower efficiency (up to 0.90 UEF against 0.96). Neither flow figure states a temperature rise, so the winter comparison depends on the actual rise, not the headline.
Both are indoor condensing units needing 120 V power and a condensate drain, and both can flex vent in existing B-vent. The SR84i also lists PVC runs up to 70 ft in 2 in and 1/2 in gas-line compatibility, while the L199i adds a moveable combustion-air intake and wireless RF cascading.
