Navien service

Navien: new heater? It is not done until it is commissioned

The start-up and verification pass on a newly installed or relocated water heater: gas pressure and combustion checks, temperature settings, relief-valve discharge verification, controls and service reminders set, and a walkthrough of operation and maintenance.

Water Heater Commissioning for Navien water heaters

Commissioning is the difference between a heater that is installed and one that is proven: the unit fires through its full range, the gas pressure and combustion are verified, the temperature is set for the household with the 49 °C fixture limit respected, the relief-valve discharge is checked, and tankless service reminders are configured for the local water.

It also covers the paperwork side: the manufacturer registration that extends labour warranties (Rinnai's five-year labour term requires registration within 90 days), the permit close-out and the maintenance schedule briefing.

Working on a Navien unit? Have the model number from the rating plate and any code or flash pattern ready. Browse Navien series, models and fault codes to find yours; the details carry through when you request service.

Frequently asked questions

Is commissioning included in installation?

Yes, in CANRO's installation and replacement work. It can also be booked separately for a unit installed by another contractor.

Why register the manufacturer warranty?

Registration within the manufacturer's window is what extends terms such as Rinnai's five-year labour coverage; the commissioning visit walks through it.
