The Envirosense power vent is John Wood's high-efficiency condensing storage tank. John Wood states it is a 50-gallon, 76,000 BTU gas water heater delivering 94% thermal efficiency, with a fully submerged, spiral-shaped condensing heat exchanger that provides far more heat-transfer surface than a straight flue tube. Because it is a condensing design, the Envirosense vents with plastic pipe and produces condensate.
