GSW Polaris high-efficiency condensing gas tank

Polaris is GSW's high-efficiency condensing gas water heater for combination systems, described by the manufacturer as suitable for domestic hot water plus radiant and forced-air hydronic heating applications. Its tank is high-grade 444 stainless steel with brass connections, and GSW states the design is built for years of dependable, trouble-free service.

The heat source is a submerged combustion chamber with a spiral flue, which GSW states provides up to 96% thermal efficiency. The unit is manufactured of refractory steel that resists corrosion and provides resistance to thermal and mechanical shock even at extreme temperatures, and it uses an ultra-quiet blower and burner to minimise noise. A self-diagnostic system with three external LED lights indicates operational status, and full serviceability from the front is listed for maintenance access.

GSW states the PR100-34-2NV model meets ENERGY STAR requirements.
