GSW Adapt SC standard condensing tankless

GSW publishes the Adapt SC as a standard condensing gas tankless water heater that delivers on-demand performance and, in GSW's words, the flexibility to install in practically any residential setting. The line is rated at 199,000 BTU/h and is ENERGY STAR certified with a 0.95 UEF.

The headline feature is X3 Scale Prevention technology. GSW states that with X3, units maintain like-new performance up to three times longer than unprotected units, and that it takes homeowner peace of mind further by eliminating annual descaling. GSW also lists no hardwater exclusions and a 15-year limited heat exchanger warranty. As a condensing tankless unit it produces condensate that must be drained, and it takes far less floor space than a tank. The manufacturer's page does not state the draw pattern for the UEF figure, so it is recorded here as the published value rather than a tested draw pattern.
