A. O. Smith Canada publishes the Condensing Tankless line as a continuous-hot-water gas tankless family. The manufacturer states 96% thermal efficiency and 0.94 UEF, and describes a durable primary heat exchanger made of commercial-grade copper with a secondary heat exchanger made of Type 316L stainless steel to prevent corrosion and prolong the life of the heater. Thermal efficiency and UEF are different measures and are not interchangeable.

The published line covers inputs of 160,000, 180,000 and 199,000 BTU/h, and A. O. Smith Canada states it can be vented using ULC S636 PVC, CPVC or polypropylene pipe or Category III/IV stainless steel. A 540P model is published with an integrated recirculation pump. The Canadian site links a specification sheet, separate installation manuals for the 240H/340H/540H models and the 540P models, a service manual and the residential tankless gas warranty sheet, all cited here, and states a 15-year limited heat exchanger warranty and a 5-year limited parts warranty.
